The first annual Freedom Fest is officially in the books!  Thank you to all of our sponsors, vendors, and especially our residents for making this such a great success.  Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 1, 2023, for the 2nd Annual Freedom Fest!

Join us on July 2nd at Porter Park for Freedom Fest, Sanger's annual 4th of July celebration. This year features tons of water slides, carnival rides, live music, and vendors! We will conclude the evening event with our first-ever fireworks show!

This is one event you certainly don't want to miss!
 

Stage Schedule:

4:00 PM Event Opens
 

4:00 PM Tim Urban - American Idol season 9 finalist
 

5:30 PM Brandon Davis - Country Music Sensation who began his career on Instagram. He is now touring with Tim McGraw. He has an album released, "Hearts Don't Rust" and a second album will drop on May 19th "Forever and Always".
 

7:00 PM Country Artist Tribute - Salute to:
Eric Church
Jason Aldean
Kenny Chesney

 

At Dark (approximately 9:30 PM) sit back, relax, and enjoy an exciting fireworks show set to music.

Important Information

EVENT START TIME:

The event starts at 4:00 PM.  The park will be closed to the public prior to the event.

TENTS AND UMBRELLAS:

No pop-up tents or large umbrellas will be permitted.  You are welcome to bring your chairs and blankets.

BIKE RIDERS: 

Non-motorized bikes (aka bicycles) are permitted.  Parking for bikes will be in one of the back fields.  The City of Sanger is not responsible for damage or theft.  If you opt to ride your bicycle, please secure it.

COOLERS AT FREEDOM FEST:

Small coolers are permitted. No larger than 14 x 7 x 12. No glass containers. As a reminder, alcohol is not permitted in City parks.

PARKING FOR FREEDOM FEST:

GENERAL PARKING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT PORTER PARK. FREE PARK AND RIDE SHUTTLES ARE PROVIDED. 

Thanks to the generosity of the @Sanger.ISD.TX, we have ample parking for this event!

Please park at one of the following locations and ride the shuttle to the park.

Clear Creek Intermediate: 1901 S. Stemmons St.

Sanger Middle School: 105 N. Berry Street

Chisholm Trail: 812 N. Keaton Road

Sanger High School: 100 Indian Lane

Limited Handicapped parking will be available onsite at Porter Park.

Fireworks: - sponsored by DEF Recycling,LLC will conclude our evening. You can expect a 20 minute show set to music.
