Calling all songwriters!  Are you interested in performing and sharing your creativity and music with an enthusiastic audience? Do you want the chance to be heard by award-winning songwriters?  Now is your chance if you have been waiting to show off your songwriting expertise! As a performing artist, you’ll gain unparalleled access to an audience of industry professionals, fellow artists, and new fans.  Additionally, all performers are invited to attend a seminar with Ron Grimes.  Ron is a multiplatinum songwriter who has been blessed to work with some phenomenal artists including LeAnn Rimes, Jennifer Lynn, Imaj, Lacy Jade, Jacob Rice, Pat Horner, Michael Gardner, Deidre Thornell, Dan, Lindsey, Sarah, Laurynn, Noelle, and Luke Grimes. 

The Old Bolivar Station Songwriters Festival is a free music festival sponsored by the City of Sanger, Texas.  The festivals’ mission is to promote the art of songwriting and celebrate those that write the songs.

We want to give songwriters a chance to have their music heard. We believe in creativity, chasing dreams, and getting the opportunity to pursue your passion. 

We are looking for songwriters making a significant portion of their income from performing. We also look for songwriters with a significant presence on social media, Facebook, Spotify, Instagram, and a dedicated website.

We do not hire songwriters through bookers or management companies. If you are obligated to a management company, we encourage you to pay them their booking fees but understand that we will communicate directly with you, the songwriter.

The Old Bolivar Station Songwriter Festival is a one-day event on September 23, 2023.

Applications are open to:
•    All music genres
•    Artists from both Texas and across the US
•    Signed and unsigned artists

 

We seek applicants for headline performances on our main stage and performers playing at venues throughout our downtown area.  Performers, except for our headliners, will be paid based on their location, talent, and solo or band performance in an amount not to exceed $500.

Headline performers will have performance slots of 60 -90 minutes.  Other performances will be invited to showcase three to 4 songs.

Headliners:  August 4th, 2023
Other performers: August 31st, 2023
Notification of acceptance:  Notifications will be sent throughout the submission process.  The final notification date is September 4th. 2023.
